Episode 193 – The Slippery Slope Of Wellness: Finding Balance After Diet Culture With Jenna Jozefowski

Jenna Jozefowski helps active women learn to lift and get strong with equal parts challenge and compassion. She is an NASM certified personal trainer, kettlebell coach, Trauma Informed Weightlifting coach, dance teacher, yoga teacher, and semi-retired professional dancer. After years of working in the fitness industry, she got sick and tired of watching people (including herself) running themselves into the ground trying to uphold the narrow-minded image of what our culture sees as “healthy” and “fit”. But instead of giving it all up, she decided that she’d rather change the game, call out the BS, extract the good, and help others use movement to build themselves up rather than tear themselves down.

In this episode, I sit down with Jenna to talk about her journey through diet culture, how it shaped her relationship with health & fitness, and how she’s settled into navigating the grey area between extremes. We also dive into the slippery slope of functional medicine — when curiosity turns into dogma — and share how we both came back to a grounded, sustainable approach to health and wellness.
